Robin Williams in the movie Patch Adams shows us that the mind heals
and happiness and laughter are some of the mind's tools. If the secret
to good health is happiness, then the practical question becomes how do
we achieve happiness? Happiness is a state of mind. For most of us, making
room for happiness in our mind is a matter evicting negative beliefs that
provide us with reasons to be unhappy.
You can be in control of your body when you learn how to take control
of your mind. You can turn a thought, belief or desire into an agent of
change in cells, tissues and organs. You can take charge of your mind/body
through the seven rules of the mind.
The Seven Rules of the Mind:
- Every thought or idea causes a physical reaction. What are your thoughts
doing to your body?
- What the mind expects to happen tends to be realized. Who or what
is effecting your expectations?
- Imagination is more powerful than facts when dealing with your own
mind or the mind of another. But you can't just "tell" yourself
to feel a certain way or accept a certain true belief, even when it's
based on facts and is obviously good for you!
- Once an idea has been accepted by the unconscious mind, it remains
until it is replaced by another idea. Do you know how to replace good
ideas for bad ones?
- Each suggestion acted upon creates less opposition to successive suggestion.
Do you know how to create good suggestions that stick with your thoughts?
- An emotionally induced symptom tends to cause organic change if persisted
in long enough. Are you making yourself sick with your thoughts? Do
you know how to make yourself well and not sick with your thoughts?
- When dealing with the unconscious mind and its functions, the greater
the conscious effort, the less the unconscious response. Do you know
that "will power" doesn't really exist and what really gets
you to make good changes? The thoughts the subconscious accepts are
those thoughts that are repetitive and simple. Very much like those
that a child would accept.
Many of us have negative scripts playing over and
over in our subconscious, affecting our health and our happiness without
even being aware that they exist. For most of us, these scripts or beliefs
were developed when we were growing up. We may have been treated badly
by a parent or relative or we may simply have misunderstood the intentions
of well-meaning individuals in our lives. Children misunderstand much
of what they experience. Unless there is a reeducation of those misunderstandings,
they become part of who we are and effect every part of our lives.
By using suggestions that guide you into a relaxed

store all of your beliefs, habits, emotions and permanent memory. By tapping
